Briefly ducked away from watching the Olympics to add something new to my patreon. Shared a big ol’ post with new music ideas, working methods, etc. check it out (link in bio) if of potential interest, I’ve really appreciated the support so far. Here’s a minute of said music workshopping, set to a truck accessing a loading bay on my street the other week.
Bits and bobs behind the scenes! A photo of mix recall sessions by @chuckjohnsonmusic, who has done an amazing mix on some new music of mine that I’m so excited to share whenever the time is right next year. Chuck’s one of my favourite musicians and it’s a pleasure to have him involved with my music again.
Part 275829 of the eternal question: Buttdial Anyday or Bandcamp Friday?
Records can take a long time to come to fruition in 2021, but we got there!
I was very fortunate to spend some time last week in the Gold Coast hinterland, starting creative development for my set for Acoustic Life Of Sheds, which is part of @bleachfestival next month. Delighted to be part of this wonderful @bighart_online event. Thanks so much to Laura and Matt for hosting me at @neranwoods (lovely guest house, worth a stay!) and being cool with me pling dinging around. Link in bio for more details and tickets on a special event in a beautiful part of the world.
I’ve spent the last few days working on some new music in the hills near Mudgeeraba, in Yugambeh Country. It’s provided an opportunity to to create and also to reflect, coincidentally during @naidocweek, on the paramount importance of First Nations knowledge, culture, history, people and Country. #HealCountry!
